Street Stroll Anegundi
I was strolling through Anegundi during a lovely late afternoon until I realized that a big festival was taking place. Being the only foreigner, I had caught everybody’s attention. Sweetly, I was being convinced by a woman (see the first picture), who belonged to one of the many dancing groups, to join their performance. I allowed myself to go with it and so I ended up dancing in the parade for the next hour. A few days later, someone showed me a local newspaper article about the festival. The articles title picture showed the dance group and me. That is hilarious, I thought. I had gone to Anegundi to take pictures of its inhabitants. Instead, people took pictures of me. It is a truly funny and sweet village with warm-hearted people. But please, fewer photographs next time. :) Anegundi, Karnataka, 2020
